Originally called The Red Flux Chronicles, the novel was originally intended as an episodic series, meant for online consumption as a way to market another novel I had already written called The Aeonian. However, as I started writing the story, where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do started to expand. Before long, The Aeonian was shelved entirely (where it has stayed for the last thirteen years) and The Red Flux Chronicles, in turn, became The Red Flux & the Wunderkind Thief, the first story in what will be a trilogy.
